Vehicle Fire Endangers Home
On Sunday January 31, 2010 at 20:19, a vehicle fire was dispatched at 3511 Ocean Bluff Ct in the Waterways subdivision of Big Corkscrew Island Fire District. Engine 10 responded to the call while shorthanded due to an earlier vehicle accident. On arrival Engine 10 had a well involved engine compartment fire approximately 10 feet from the vehicle owner’s home. Wind had driven the flames from the fire to start to impinge on the eaves of the house. A quick attack extinguished the fire and prevented and further property damage or loss. The fire was ruled accidental.
